Black Box Corporation (Nasdaq:BBOX), a provider of technical services for data and voice infrastructure solutions, announced on Thursday (19 June) that the Sacramento River Cats, the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland A's, have selected Black Box Network Services to implement and maintain a ShoreTel Pure IP Unified Communications solution.

Black Box Network Services is a distributor of ShoreTel.

The deployment is for the Sacramento River Cats' front offices and Raley Field, and is expected to provide the latest in IP Unified Communications for the 14,400 seat ballpark and supporting operations. It is also expected to provide back-office operational efficiencies, and enhanced fan experiences, as club employees are better able to communicate and collaborate with fans and suppliers.

Under the contract, Black Box Network Services proposes to install and maintain a full suite of ShoreTel UC solutions. The facility-wide implementation includes the corporate offices, ballpark suites, concessions, security, hospitality, grounds, locker rooms, dugouts and bullpens. Financial details of the deployment were not available.
