Velocix chosen by Ether Digital

Telecomworldwire,  June 20, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-20 June 2008-Velocix chosen by Ether Digital(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Velocix (formally known as CacheLogic), a provider of Digital Asset Delivery Networks, announced on Thursday (19 June) that it has been selected by Ether Digital, a provider of digital media communication services and solutions, to provide advanced web video delivery services for its Miomni digital entertainment platform.

According to the company, Miomni is Ether Digital's white-label solution, which enables global brands and content owners to create their own bespoke broadcast quality web TV channels. The combination of the platform and the Velocix Digital Asset Delivery Network provides a high performance solution that makes it easy for entertainment brands to create and deliver on-demand video services over the Internet.

Currently, Miomni uses the Velocix Video Streaming service for on-demand video delivery in Windows Media format. In addition, there are plans to extend this to include live streaming and download video services, all delivered by Velocix.

One of the first to utilize the combined solution is the recently announced Queensberry Fight Network Channel, a new broadband TV service offering an extensive boxing video catalogue. The channel is to be launched on Saturday (21 June).

No financial details were disclosed.
