Matalan, a British clothing and homeware retailer, is to install software from SAS, a supplier of business intelligence, data integration and analysis software.
The announcement, made by SAS on the 23 June, said that SAS and Matalan will use the services of Paris-based Capgemini for consultancy and implementation during the roll-out of SAS' Enterprise Intelligence software.
The software will integrate data from the 466 million transactions per year in Matalan's stores to improve the reporting process which drives Matalan's purchasing decisions, allowing Matalan to react faster to changes in consumer purchasing trends.
