Communications solutions provider Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris: ALU) (NYSE: ALU) announced on Monday (23 June) the opening of its Brazilian Executive Briefing Center (EBC), a large workspace equipped with technology and demonstrations to host customers, business partners and other stakeholders interested in the company's solutions.

According to the company, the new EBC will highlight advanced communications technologies used by wireless and wireline service providers and enterprises. It will enable service provider customers to see demos of such technologies as IPTV, WiMax and softswitch-based next generation switching solutions. Enterprise customers will be able to see Alcatel-Lucent's call centre technology, as well as the full range of voice and data products for corporate communications. In addition, there will also be demonstrations of Femto Cell and IP Security Control technology.
The Center occupies nearly 15,400 sq ft of space in the company's premises in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and will receive visitors from Brazil and other countries in Latin America. No financial details were disclosed.
