Aurora Networks adds to Light-Plex family

Telecomworldwire,  June 25, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-25 June 2008-Aurora Networks adds to Light-Plex family(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Aurora Networks, a manufacturer of equipment for optical data networks, has added a new product to its Light-Plex family of integrated optical narrowcast demuxplexers and broadcast/narrowcast combiners.

The OP4528, announced on 25 June, is designed for installation in the company's VHub, a standard node housing capable of serving up to 20,000 homes. Up to three OP4528s can be installed in a single VHub to generate up to 24 service areas.

The OP4528 features remote power alignment via an SNMP interface, removing the need for operators to synchronise head end and field technicians during link set-up. Operators can also add optical wavelengths without disrupting existing narrowcast services.
