TTM Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:TTMI), which provides printed circuit boards and backplane assemblies, announced on 25 June that it has been awarded a contract worth in excess of USD8m by BAE Systems, a defence contractor, for the supply of printed circuit boards and printed circuit board assemblies.

The boards and assemblies will be used in the Thermal Weapons System Program. The Thermal Weapons Sight is a next-generation thermal imaging system for weapons applications designed for surveillance and target acquisition on the battlefield.

Full-rate production and deliveries began April 2008 and will run for 12 months.
