Tele Atlas, a provider of digital maps and a subsidiary of TomTom NV, has signed an agreement with Google giving Google access to Tele Atlas maps and dynamic content.
The five-year agreement covers all of Google's current and future map-based applications, including Google Maps, Google Earth and mobile applications such as Google Maps for Mobile.
Tele Atlas gains access to comments and suggestions from Google users for updates and edits, allowing the company to use the knowledge of Google users to increase the quality, accuracy and currency of its maps.
