TELECOMWORLDWIRE-4 June 2008-Internet Pinboard launches virtual corkboard(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

It was announced on 3 June that the launch has taken place of a virtual pinboard by Internet Pinboard, a website designed by business analyst Jeremy Keen, http://www.internet-pinboard.com. With the traditional look of an original corkboard, the virtual pinboard can be supersized for users of sites such as Facebook and MySpace.

Almost anything such as photos, music, blogs and links to news stories can be pinned up by users. The company said that advertisers can take advantage of the site's social networking directions and aim relevant services or product promotions towards users with fees being calculated on how much space an advert will take up on the virtual corkboard.

According to the company, the pinboard is quick and easy to navigate. There is no need to register, users simply email their content to the site for free, indicating their preferred positioning of the item, which will be posted within 24 hours.
