TELECOMWORLDWIRE-4 June 2008-3G wireless broadband added to iPass to managed network services(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

iPass Inc (NASDAQ: IPAS), a global provider of services that unify the management of enterprise mobility, has announced that it has integrated 3G wireless capabilities into its iPass Branch Office and iPass Retail Office managed network services.

The company said that the new services are called Wireless Jumpstart, Wireless Backup and Wireless Primary and all three utilise iPass' nationwide 3G data coverage to offices and retail locations with a complement to wired connectivity.

The service can either be used as a temporary approach or, using the Wireless Primary service, as a permanent solution.

In addition the Wireless Backup service enables branch offices to use 3G to maintain a broadband connection to business critical applications at all times, reportedly minimising the risk of operational downtime or poor customer service.
