Telecomworldwire, June 6, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-6 June 2008-UK and Chinese children to share live-lesson through interactive classroom solutions(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Interactive classroom solutions from Promethean have enabled a group of children aged 6-13 from the UK and China to participate in a live Mandarin and English lesson.

The link-up, which took place yesterday (5 June), was part of John Hutton's trip to China to demonstrate the use of technology by British firms in China.

The pupils participated in a language lesson, learning the names of shapes in English and Mandarin via their Promethean Activboards, which are interactive whiteboards.

The lessons took place at Lambeth Academy in Clapham, UK and Houhai school in Shenzhen, China.

The live link-up was created using Elluminate and Promethean's interactive software enabling the pupils to view and communicate on each other's interactive whiteboards and interact in realtime.
