Airspan and Gilat Satellite Networks sign OEM agreement

Airspan Networks Inc (NasdaqGM:AIRN), a provider of WiMAX broadband wireless access networks, announced on Tuesday (11 March) that the company has entered into an OEM purchase and global marketing agreement with Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd (NasdaqGM:GILT), a provider of products and services for satellite-based communications networks.

Under the terms of the agreement, Gilat will resell Airspan's WiMAX products worldwide, on a non-exclusive basis.

Gilat will broaden its product offering to include WiMAX-based solutions, and distribute Airspan's WiMAX solutions globally to its large base of existing customers as well as new customers.

Financial details of the agreement were not available.
