Equinix Inc (Nasdaq:EQIX), a provider of network-neutral data centres and Internet exchange services, announced on Thursday (13 March) that it was recently awarded ISO 27001 certification for its datacentre in Enschede in the Netherlands.

ISO 27001 certification is understood to be awarded to companies whose business processes conform to strict international information security standards.

According to Equinix, its operations in the Netherlands underwent assessment and auditing measures to ensure that its business processes satisfied the ISO 27001 standards.
