Axis Network Technology (AxisNT), a vendor of software reconfigurable digital radios, RF subsystems and IP, has announced its support for single-standard WiMAX technology by becoming a member of the WiMAX Forum, an organisation working to promote the global adoption of interoperable, standards-based WiMAX products for broadband mobile Internet services.

According to the company, WiMAX Forum certification is a key requirement for basestations that integrate the company's radios, and membership of the WiMAX Forum is a logical step to enable AxisNT to fully participate in the WiMAX community.
