Boston.com, the website of The Boston Globe, a division of media company The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT), announced on Tuesday (25 March) the addition of Google's local search results and mapping technology to its local search application.

With this addition, the business listings from Google are reportedly easily accessible within Boston.com's new search product.

The company said that the new search product offers users comprehensive, highly relevant local search results that features all content from The Boston Globe and also Google's local business listing search with mapping news and information from over 4,000 local websites. It will also offer over 5,000 local event listings, multimedia content from local TV, radio, the Globe, and users.
