TELECOMWORLDWIRE-31 March 2008-Verizon Wireless provides access to MySpace Mobile on Mobile Web 2.0-enabled handsets(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

MySpace, an online social networking site and unit of Fox Interactive Media Inc, and Verizon Wireless, a provider of wireless voice and data network and a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) (LSE:VOD), announced on Friday (28 March) Verizon Wireless customers can access MySpace Mobile on all Mobile Web 2.0-enabled phones.

According to the company, Mobile Web 2.0 subscribers can click directly into the MySpace Mobile website from the Connect category on the Mobile Web 2.0 home screen. The company's customers can edit MySpace profiles, view and add friends, post comments and blogs and send and receive MySpace messages from their mobile phones.

The availability of MySpace on Verizon Wireless' Mobile Web 2.0 service is reportedly part of a larger agreement in which Verizon Wireless will distribute mobile versions of FOX Interactive Media's web brands.

Unlimited MySpace Mobile usage is included at no additional charge with a Mobile Web 2.0 subscription. Unlimited Mobile Web 2.0 usage is included with a USD15 monthly V CAST VPak subscription, which also includes access to V CAST Video, V CAST Music and Get It Now applications. Customers can also access Mobile Web for free with a Nationwide Plan but will incur usage charges of USD1.99 per megabyte.
