Telecomworldwire,  May 20, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-20 May 2008-Free wi-fi to be offered at Abu Dhabi International Airport(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Free wi-fi access for passengers is to be offered by Abu Dhabi Airports Company, the owner-operator of Abu Dhabi International Airport, from 1 June 2008.

The company said that it is to provide free access for all passengers across its three terminals.

The airport currently offers passengers use of 12 Internet kiosks, each providing 15 minutes of free access per user.

According to AME Info, 12 access points (transmitters) will be inherited from the previous telecomms system and nine access points will be active in the duty free area. As a result the main area in Terminal 1 will go live first, with both Terminal 1A and 2 going live shortly.
