BT launches Total Broadband Anywhere package

BT Total Broadband Anywhere, has been launched by BT, a communications solutions and services provider, offering an all-inclusive package providing BT's Total Broadband service in the home and a free, Internet-capable smartphone, the BT ToGo, worth about GBP150, providing a complete broadband experience at home and on the move.

Customers can choose from the HTC S620 (free on any package) or S710 (free on certain packages) BT ToGo smartphones, powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 and featuring a built-in camera, media player and BT Snap & Send. They connect to the Internet at broadband speeds when in Wi-Fi hotspot range, with a 10MB monthly download allowance for out of Wi-Fi range use and 50 call minutes and 50 texts on any network, at any time.

According to BT, the ToGo integrates with many other BT Total Broadband services and is preconfigured with a BT e-mail address and mobile security software for virus protection, with users also able to establish other e-mail accounts easily. Households needing more than one ToGo can buy up to five more for GBP29.99 each and an extra GBP5 per handset, per month, with users sharing the same tariff.

Broadband Anywhere 50 is priced from GBP23.99 per month for 50 minutes and 50 texts; Broadband Anywhere 150 costs from GBP33.99 per month (150 minutes, 100 texts); Broadband Anywhere 250 is priced from GBP38.99 per month (250 minutes, 150 texts); and Broadband Anywhere 600 costs from GBP53.99 per month (600 minutes, 700 texts). Prices increase to GBP29.99, GBP39.99, GBP44.99 and GBP59.99 respectively after three months.

Broadband Anywhere customers are giving BT's Option 3 Total Broadband service, which includes a wireless Home Hub with Hub Phone, download speeds of up to 8Mb/s, online security, free online storage and free 24/7 customer support and automatically join the BT FON WiFi community, with access to hotspots.
