Two new cell sites have been activated in Eaton Rapids and St. Johns, Mich., USA, by Verizon Wireless (Verizon), a US wireless voice and data network operator and joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE:VOD) (LSE:VOD).
Verizon said the new cell sites improve its voice and data network coverage along Michigan Road 99 between East Lansing and Eaton Rapids; in St. Johns; and along Interstate 127 between St. Johns and Green Road.

According to Verizon, the expanded network coverage allows more customers to use their wireless handsets simultaneously to make and receive calls, send and receive e-mail, text, picture and video messages, download music, games and ringtones, browse the Internet and view videos. It also claimed users will benefit from fewer dropped calls and clearer reception.
