Aperto's PacketMAX range offers the elements needed to extend wireless broadband services to a broad range of users, from governments, public sector organisations and large enterprises to multi-tenet buildings and residences.
The company's PacketMAX 5000 base station is reportedly the only carrier grade base station to support and operate the IEEE802.16-2004 and IEEE802.16-2005 WiMAX standards simultaneously. In addition, PacketMAX supports a broad range of licensed and licensed-exempt frequencies, including the 2.5GHz, 3.5GHz, 4.9GHz and 5GHz bands.
According to Aperto, 5GHz WiMAX products are important for Ukraine's broadband market, with the WiMAX band recognised internationally as a powerful complement to the 2.xGHz and 3.xGHz bands.
