Telecomworldwire,  May 8, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-8 May 2008-'Live Watch' Trace functionality released by Network Box(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

'Live Watch' Trace functionality has been released by Network Box, a managed security company, for its unified threat management (UTM) products as part of its development programme for customers.

Network Box said the tool enables network administrators to monitor websites which employees are accessing, at any time, and set filters for inappropriate sites. SurfControl, a Network Box OEM partner, sets the web filter categories.

According to Network Box, the trace functionality has been added to the Mail, Web Proxy, Firewall and IDP modules in order to allow real-time access to online user behaviour to administrators.

The company confirmed the live watch mode enables administrators to set filter conditions and view traffic in real-time from the user interface, with administrators able to view in historical mode to monitor previous online activity. It said threats resulting from inappropriate content being viewed, are highlighted via a colour coding system.

Network Box intends to introduce the functionality to current and new customers running the NBRS-3.0 operating systems as part of the company's managed security service.
