Virgin Atlantic renews managed services contract with Tata Consultancy Services

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE:TCS.BO) (NSE:TCS.NS), an IT services and business solutions company, has revealed that it has renewed its managed services contract with Virgin Atlantic, a long haul airline.

TCS said it will continue to manage the airline's global end-to-end IT systems under the terms of the agreement, including a 24/7 service desk, infrastructure and application support services. It is also managing Virgin Atlantic's relationships with other third party IT vendors.

According to TCS, its service delivery for the airline is designed around IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices framework. It claimed its airline innovation experience and metrics-based management model will increase responsiveness for the airline's customers.

The contract will enable Virgin Atlantic to focus on its core business activities and manage the future challenges of the international airline industry.
