Verizon expands wireless network in Pennsylvania

Verizon Wireless, a provider of wireless voice and data network and a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE:VOD) (LSE:VOD), announced on Wednesday (19 November) that the company has activated a new cell site in Midtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA.

The new cell site reportedly increases coverage and capacity in Midtown along North Front Street, north of the Harvey Taylor Bridge, east to North Seventh Street between Forster and Maclay streets.

The company has reportedly invested over 190m in 2008 to expand and enhance its wireless network across central, north-eastern and south-eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
