ArcSight Inc (NasdaqGM:ARST), a compliance and security management solutions provider, revealed yesterday (24 November) that McAfee's ePolicy Orchestrator 4.0 (ePO) software and the company's ArcSight SIEM Platform were being integrated to collect, correlate and analyse enterprise event information.A McAfee's ePO software is a security and compliance management system and its integration of the display of security and compliance data from ArcSight reduces the time taken from incident detection to remediation.A ArcSight, a member of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance since August 2008, further achieves McAfee Compatible status having finished the integration testing successfully, which allows ArcSight alerts to populate the McAfee ePO dashboard on urgent issues regarding assets managed by ePO software. The alerts, generated by the ArcSight SIEM Platform analysing millions of logs per day in more than 275 IT products and applications, can be corrected by McAfee ePO software before it adversely affects assets managed by ePO software.
