Armedia and CYA Technologies partner on solution for TriMont Real Estate Advisors

Telecomworldwire, Nov 3, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-3 November 2008-Armedia and CYA Technologies partner on solution for TriMont Real Estate Advisors(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Armedia LLC, a provider of content management software and services, and CYA Technologies, a provider of solutions protecting enterprise content management (ECM) investments, announced on Friday (31 October) that together they will enable TriMont Real Estate Advisors, a provider of services to real estate lenders and investors, to protect and ensure the granular recovery of information within its EMC Documentum repositories.

According to the company, Armedia recognized that TriMont, its long-time client, needed CYA SmartRecovery to reduce system downtime and protect key information it keeps in EMC Documentum, which includes financial documents and transaction records. If any of this information became inaccessible due to a partial loss incident, the company would be unable to fully recover the content and its associated metadata using its existing disaster recovery solution without risking Documentum downtime and further potential data loss.

Partial information loss incidents reportedly account for over 80% of all ECM system data loss and are caused by such occurrences as programmatic, user, operational and logical errors, malfeasance, and metadata corruption. CYA SmartRecovery provides hot, synchronous backups of ECM repository information that safeguards organizations against consequences of partial information loss incidents by enabling objects to be restored back into the repository in their original state without taking applications off-line.

No financial details were disclosed.
