Wipro Technologies, a division of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), has said that the company's Wipro NewLogic unit, a semiconductor design services provider and supplier of IP cores for wireless and wireline applications, has launched an analog and mixed signal "port on demand" service in association with IN2FAB Technology.

The new facility will provide design porting services for analog mixed signal and custom IC designs between foundry processes and geometries.

According to Wipro Technologies the cooperation enables IC designs and IP to be ported to a manufacturing standard in just a few weeks, offering reductions of up to ten times in cycle time and engineering costs as well as freeing up customers' engineers to focus on other activities.

The new service line will be within Wipro NewLogic's Product Engineering Services division based in Bangalore, India and Lustenau, Austria, with IN2FAB providing its migration tools, methodologies and infrastructure to the "port-on-demand" facility.A No financial details were available.
