TELECOMWORLDWIRE-7 November 2008-Comptel chosen by Orascom Telecom Algerie(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki:CTL1V), a vendor of dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, announced on Thursday (6 November) that Algerian mobile operator Orascom Telecom Algerie (Djezzy), a fully-owned subsidiary of Orascom Telecom Holding, has selected the Comptel Provisioning and Activation Solution.

The deal follows the announcements in 2007 of Comptel being chosen as preferred supplier by Orascom Telecom, and of the subsequent selection by Orascom joint venture Tunisiana.

According to the company, Comptel Provisioning and Activation Solution automates the provisioning and activation processes. With a single interface, it covers the entire workflow, from service order to start of billing. At Djezzy, the solution will be used to improve the service fulfilment processes for mobile services including planned 3G services.

Orascom Telecom Algerie selected Comptel because its provisioning and activation solution has been proven at operators across the world, including at other Orascom subsidiaries, the company said.

No financial details were disclosed.
