TELECOMWORLDWIRE-7 November 2008-Saudi Arabian Airlines select Vignette to deliver new on-line presence(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Vignette (Nasdaq:VIGN), a web software company, announced on Thursday (6 November) the delivery of a next-generation on-line presence for Saudi Arabian Airlines, the national airline of Saudi Arabia.

As part of a major restructuring, the airline is enhancing its services across the whole of its business to help increase sales and improve its overall customer experience. Enhancing its web presence was a part of that strategy with the creation of a new global web site - http://www.saudiairlines.com - a user-centric 'travel community portal'.

According to Vignette, the airline selected its Portal and Content Management (VCM) solutions. The Saudi Arabian Airlines website has gone live and integrates booking on-line via e-ticketing/electronic payments, web check-in and baggage tracking. The site also offers a multi-language functionality (English, French and Arabic) that will enable customers to select their country setting and choose their preferred language.

Vignette's Web Experience foundation enables organisations to build and deliver a personalised experience to their customers, employees and partners, as well offering enterprise-class Web 2.0 and social networking functionality that help organisations acquire, serve and grow their customer base. VCM provides templates to manage the content, sites, content types and objects to deploy and deliver information. In addition, it provides a workflow manager, a roles-based command centre for multiple websites, portals or devices, as well as essential library services, the company said.

No financial details were disclosed.
