US communications company AT&T Inc (NYSE: T) announced on Tuesday (30 September) that the company has been awarded a voice, data, security and wireless integrated solutions contract with Bemis Company Inc (NYSE: BMS), a flexible packaging company and a manufacturer of pressure sensitive materials based in the Americas.

Under the terms of the contract AT&T will provide a range of traditional and wireless voice and data services, Synchronous optical network (SONET), Internet Protocol-enabled networks and additional voice services.

Bemis' domestic employees in the US are expected to benefit from AT&T wireless service and handsets, enabling faster connection, collaboration and decision making.

With AT&T Virtual Private Network (VPN) services, Bemis will be connected at any and all locations, enabling the company to deliver products more quickly to its customers.

Bemis will also deploy AT&T SONET services to maintain high speed, crucial voice and data network traffic. It will also have access to the secure AT&T BusinessDirect portal.

Financial details of the contract were not available.
