Pegasystems (NASDAQ: PEGA), a developer of software to automate business processes, launched yesterday (2 October) its Business Process Management Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that is claimed to offer the benefits of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) without the risks or performance concerns of the technology.

According to Pegasystems its new offering is the only BPM PaaS solution that offers: a thin client development environment and full web-based user interaction; PaaS capability for complete BPM development and execution; multi-tenant capability to rapidly deploy and add business-specific BPM to shared enterprise processes; an in-house BPM SaaS capability with all of the security and integration of data centre infrastructure; and elimination of information silos caused by externally hosted SaaS applications.
No pricing details were announced.
