Sify (Nasdaq: SIFY), an Indian data services provider, has selected the Cisco CRS-1 Carrier Routing System to help enhance its core network to meet customer's demands for increasing sophistication in network services.

Cisco said that its IP NGN (Internet Protocol Next Generation Network) architecture offers carriers the ability to migrate all existing infrastructure for voice, data and video into a single packet infrastructure.

No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
