Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris:ALU) (NYSE:ALU), a network technologies company, announced on 26 September that it has signed a three year contract with Dutch service provider KPN for the delivery of a next generation broadband access network.

The company will become the single vendor for NG DSLAMs and associated CPEs for a three year period, deploying its point-to-point, fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and VDSL2 fibre-to-the-node (FTTN) network solutions. Alcatel-Lucent will also provide network management tooling, CPE and residential gateways, as well as installation, deployment and commissioning services, enabling KPN to offer triple play services (voice, IPTV and high speed Internet).

No financial details of the contract were disclosed.
