Location Based Technologies Inc (OTCBB: LBAS), a service provider of personal locator devices and services, announced on Tuesday (17 February) the launch of its Smartphone application, PocketFinder, for the BlackBerry's Curve model of Smartphone.
The PocketFinder family of products are small, single-board GSM/GPS devices which easily fit into a pockets, purse or backpacks and can be accessed via the Internet, cell phone or landline to show its location in real time.

Users can now download the PocketFinder service directly to their handsets at http://www.handango.com.
According to the company, the BlackBerry application has all the features and capabilities of the PocketFinder personal locator device. This expansion is expected to deliver immediate business value and allows for the seamless addition of PocketFinder and PetFinder products on the popular BlackBerry Curve Smartphone.
The company said that the service for the BlackBerry application will be offered for the first 30 days at a special onetime download rate of USD9.95. After the first 30 days, the application will have a subscription rate of USD4.95 per month for all new subscribers and will remain at that price as long as the account is kept current and in good standing.
