1&1 Internet, a UK based Internet service provider, announced that it has increased the number of server options available to customers, meaning that the company now offers a total of eight different hardware configurations with loaded Windows, Linux or as website servers.

The company said that Internet users can now choose between five servers with Dual Core processors and three models with Quad Core CPUs. A basic configuration for beginners starts at GBP39.99 (Windows GBP49.99) for a Dual Core M Server with two AMD Athlon 4200 2.2GHz cores, two 250GB hard drives configured as RAID 1 and 2GB RAM.

All server offerings include unlimited data transfer and 250GB of FTP backup space.

Other packages include a professional offering - the Quad Core XXL Server - with AMD Opteron 2352 processors, 1,500GB of storage on three hard drives configured as RAID5 and 16GB RAM for GBP119.99 (Windows GBP249.99) for the first six months and GBP119.99 (Windows GBP129.99) thereafter.

All prices are per month excluding VAT. (USD1=GBP0.61).
