Epicor Software Corporation (Nasdaq:EPIC), a provider of enterprise software solutions for midmarket companies, announced on Monday (1 June) the release of Epicor ITSM 2009, the newest version of its IT Service Management solution.

According to the company, Epicor ITSM 2009 provides greater stability and performance through the support of Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and the 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2008 and the Windows Vista operating systems, connecting the company's IT service management solution with Microsoft Corp's newest technology foundations.

In addition, to support geographically distributed IT personnel and their customers, the new release includes an enhanced self-service and field service portal available in numerous languages. Epicor ITSM including ITSM portal provides for the following language packs: Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch, English US, English UK, Estonian, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Russian and Spanish. The solution is also expected to support Arabic, Polish, Portuguese and Swedish later in 2009.

The release also includes a software development kit (SDK), providing the tools to deploy and extend comprehensive portal capabilities as well as the necessary documentation and examples to adjust existing functionality and create new functionality.
