Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ), a US telecoms operator and provider of the Verizon FiOS broadband service, announced that it has increased the speeds of its broadband services.
The company said that its entry level Internet service is now available at speeds of 15/5Mb/s (downstream/upstream), up from 10/2Mb/s, while its flagship mid-tier connection is now available at 25/15Mb/s, up from 20/5Mb/s.

In Long Island, New York, and in some other New York suburbs, an entry-level speed of 25/15Mb/s is available, with the mid-tier offering available at 35/20Mb/s.
Verizon is offering incentives for new customers to subscribe to its services, with offers of a free netbook or camcorder available if customers subscribe to certain packages.
Bundle pricing varies by market and starts at USD99.99 for triple bundles and USD79.99 for double bundles. Both double and triple bundles require a one-year service agreement.
