Affiliated Computer Services Inc (NYSE:ACS), an information communications and technology services provider in Jamaica, has confirmed that it is in discussions to acquire the Caribbean-based e-Services Group International, a business process outsourcing and customer care company.

ACS currently has around 1600 employees in Jamaica and e-Services has around 4000 employees in Jamaica and St Lucia. No workforce restructuring is anticipated. and ACS said that e-Services will continue to be operated by its current management.

No financial details of the proposed acquisition were disclosed.
