US communications holding company AT&T (NYSE:T) announced on Thursday (7 May) the opening of a new wireless retail store in Suffolk, Virginia, US, with the ribbon-cutting scheduled for today (8 May).
The new store, located at 3575 Bridge Road in Suffolk, is reportedly to address the growing demand for advanced wireless data products and services, such as the Samsung Impression and Blackberry Bold.
AT&T said that the new store has a state-of-the-art, hands-on design, which engages customers and provides a a[euro]try before buy' service experience.

Also, trained sales consultants can provide demonstrations of a wide range of wireless products and services, and shoppers can also test out various advanced wireless data applications, including GPS navigation, side-loading music, or managing photos.
The new wireless location is reportedly a part of AT&T's overall investment in the state of Virginia. From 2006 to 2008, AT&T's total capital investment in its technology infrastructure in the state of Virginia was nearly USD475m.
The opening of this new store brings the number of AT&T-owned wireless locations to 51 in Virginia.
