AT&T OFFERS 50% REDUCTION FOR CHRISTMAS EVE CALLS FROM GUANTANAMO NAVAL BASE, CUBA AND HAITI

SHORT HILLS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 1994--AT&T today announced a 50 percent reduction for Christmas Eve calling so Cuban and Haitian refugees at Guantanamo Naval Base, Cuba, and U.S. troops at Guantanamo Naval Base and in Haiti can share holiday greetings with friends and loved ones in the United States.

From 12:01 a.m. to midnight local time on Saturday, Dec. 24, the total price of a collect, calling-card or prepaid-card call will be reduced by half. Callers can talk as long as they wish. No time restrictions apply.

"AT&T is glad to help those unable to be with their loved ones to share the warmth and hope associated with this special time."

All calls will be provided through AT&T USADirect(R) Service, a long-distance telephone service that gives callers direct access to an AT&T operator in the United States. USADirect Service is offered by AT&T Consumer Communications Services, recipient of the 1994 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, America's top quality honor.
