Gossan Resources Announces Appointments

VANCOUVER, BC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DEC. 8, 1994--GOSSAN RESOURCES LIMITED (VSE: GSS) The Company is pleased to announce the appointments of Rhonda G. Smerchanski and D. Neil Briggs, both of Winnipeg, as Directors of the Company.

Rhonda Smerchanski, B.Sc., Honours, M.Sc. Chemistry, University of Manitoba is a past President and Director of Border Chemical Limited, located in Winnipeg. She actively continues her association with Border Chemical and also serves as a volunteer on the University of Manitoba Development Council. Ms. Smerchanski is active in mining, mineral exploration and development.

Neil Briggs, B.Sc. Honours Geology, University of Durham, England, 1966 has worked in the Canadian mining industry since graduation. He is presently President of Manitoba Mineral Resources Ltd., a company he joined in 1982 following experience with Iron Ore Company of Canada and Falconbridge. Mr. Briggs is a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum.

These two appointments will provide additional depth and expertise to the Company's management team as it continues to develop its mineral resources.
