Silicon Valley Group reports the presumed death of two of its independent directors

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Silicon Valley Group, (SVG) Thursday announced the company had been notified that two of the independent directors on its board, Roy H. Pollack of Fordham University and William F. Emswiler vice president and chief financial officer of Perkin-Elmer, were listed as passengers in a helicopter that crashed Tuesday, November 1 in the Caribbean off the coast of Cozumel, Mexico.
The Associated Press reported that the aircraft plunged into the sea about three miles from the Cozumel airport.
The company is awaiting further information and final notification from the authorities.
