ATM Forum announces 1995 board of directors; New board reflects diversity of membership

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 1995--The ATM Forum today announced its 1995 board of directors.

The new board, which will take office on May 1, includes representatives from the international community, end users and a diverse group of communications vendors.

The board is elected annually by the 213 principal members of the Forum. The position of VP, User Activities is elected annually by the members of the ENR committee. The board consists of the following officers:

Steve Walters, Bellcore President and Chairman of the Board

Ken-ichi Aihara, NTT VP, Asia-Pacific Management

Walter Gould, Computer Sciences Corp. VP, User Activities

Tim Kwok, Microsoft VP, Business Development Strategies

Falk Sass, Siemens VP, European Operations

Dean Skidmore, IBM VP and Corporate Operations Officer and Treasurer

John Swenson, AT&T VP, Industry Liaisons and Secretary

Kathy Szot, Bell Atlantic VP, Committee Operations and Management

Formed in October, 1991, the ATM Forum membership currently includes more than 700 companies representing all sectors of the computer and communications industries, as well as a number of government agencies, research organizations and users.

The Forum's charter is to speed the development and deployment of ATM products and services. Activities include the development and recommendation of interoperability specifications and the promotion of industry cooperation and awareness.
