Business Wire, April 25, 1995
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 1995--First Interstate Bank of California has just made it easier for small businesses to manage their checking and savings accounts with the introduction of its new PC-based account management software, Business Express Plus.
Using Business Express Plus, small business customers can now use their personal computers to monitor daily checking account activity including balances, debits and credits; transfer funds between accounts; request stop payments; and automatically reconcile accounts. They also can save time and improve productivity by performing their daily banking functions in the convenience of their own offices.
"Business Express Plus is an important new element of our overall business banking services," First Interstate Senior Vice President Randy Kahn, manager of Corporate Electronic Products, said. "Now our small business customers can electronically link up with the bank by PC. This service includes the basic PC banking services preferred by small businesses and complements expanded usage of personal computers by our small business customers."
First Interstate's new software is offered in conjunction with ADP (Automated Data Processing). It is competitively priced and includes a one-time set-up fee of $99 and a monthly service charge as low as $39, depending on the number of accounts accessed. Customers can access up to five accounts.
A demo version of Business Express Plus has been added to First Interstate's Internet file on the World Wide Web. The software can be downloaded to the user's computer for a quick and easy demonstration of on-line banking for small businesses. The software is accessible through First Interstate's Internet address at: http://www.fibank/.com/fi/.
