Platinum Software offers data warehousing technology through a partnership with Sinper Corp.; online analytical processing now available in Platinum SQL Enterprise

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1995--Platinum Software Corp. (NASDAQ:PSQL), the financial software company, Thursday announced a technology partnership with Sinper Corp., a leading provider of online analytical processing (OLAP) software.
Through the agreement, Platinum will incorporate the Sinper TM/1 multidimensional database management system, a key component of any data warehousing strategy, into the company's SQL Enterprise financial application product line.

These systems complement the power of relational databases that are geared towards online transaction processing. By combining these two database technologies into our SQL Enterprise product line, we are providing our customers with powerful tools to gain access to strategic information," said David Proctor, president and chief operating officer of Platinum Software.
With TM/1, Platinum will offer its customers advanced financial analysis capabilities. TM/1 provides businesses with a subject-oriented view of the information needed for reporting, analysis, consolidation, budgeting or planning. It provides access to large amounts of data for decision support tasks from the desktop without degrading server performance.
TM/1 has evolved to become one of the most powerful online analytical processing products in the marketplace.

TM/1 consists of a multidimensional database management system server and a spreadsheet (Excel, Lotus 123) integrated client. TM/1 is available immediately from Platinum for installation with Platinum SQL Enterprise.
