Business Wire, April 4, 1995
CUPERTINO, Calif.,--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 1995--Object Master for Windows, ACI's integrated programming tool for professional C and C developers, has won InfoWorld's 1994 Landmark Technology Award, which was announced in the March 20 issue.
"The Landmark Technology Award goes to the product we feel has the most significant original idea or best advance in a current technology," said Nicholas Petreley, executive editor of reviews and testing at InfoWorld. "ACI US Inc.'s Object Master for Windows certainly meets that criteria with a new and very clever approach to integrated development for C and C ."
According to ACI President and CEO Mark Vernon, "Winning the Landmark Technology Award is a great achievement for Object Master and ACI. This was the first product we have brought to the Windows platform, and we are very pleased that it has been so successful." With the introduction of Object Master for Windows, a true multi- platform product, ACI has merged the Windows and Macintosh programming worlds. Object Master programmers can now work on one project while moving between the two platforms.
Object Master for Windows is an innovative programming environment that provides all the necessary tools for C and C programmers to write, organize, and navigate through source code. Any changes made to code are automatically updated to the project, no compiling is necessary.
In addition, Object Master incorporates flexible browser windows to navigate through code quickly, and an editor to automate repetitive tasks in the programming and implementation phases. These two key features save time and reduce development programming costs. "Object Master gives you browsers and editors with features that dedicated C programmers fantasize about," Petreley added.
Object Master for Windows runs on a PC with a 386 or higher processor and requires 4MB RAM, 4MB hard disk space, and Windows 3.1 or later. The product is available through retail outlets including The Programmer's Shop.
