LANNET receives ISO 9001 quality certification for research & development; leading networking hub vendor certified as meeting international quality standard for hardware and software development

Business Wire, April 5, 1995

TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 1995--LANNET Data Communications Ltd., a leading supplier of scalable switching hubs for enterprise computer networks, today announced that it has received the ISO 9001 (International Standards Organization) international certification for quality in the research and development of networking technology.

Expanding on the ISO 9002 certificate for manufacturing and service secured in 1994, LANNET earned the ISO 9001 certificate for quality of research and development of its broad line of networking equipment. This ISO 9001 certificate also attests to LANNET's adherence to ISO 9000.3 standards of software development.

Avinoam Porat, LANNET's director of Quality Assurance, commented, "This certification demonstrates the tradition of quality and excellence which permeates all of LANNET's operations, including its R&D team, and is recognition of the superior quality for which LANNET products are renowned. Coming on the heels of LANNET's winning performance in the LAN Times (US) switching hub performance test, and following LANNET's recent receipt of Israel's coveted Rothschild Prize for Technology, the ISO 9001 formerly acknowledges LANNET's leading role in the research and development of networking technologies for the next century."

The ISO 9001 audit was performed by The Standards Institute of Israel (SII), Israel's only accredited body for ISO 9000 assessments. The SII is accredited by Raad Voor de Certificates and recognized by nine international quality systems organizations, including Underwriters Laboratories in the United States, BSI in the U.K., TUV and DQS in Germany, UNI-IMQ in Italy, SQS in Switzerland, QMI in Canada, and KEMA in the Netherlands.
