Business Wire, April 7, 1995
BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1995--Shiva Corporation today announced its LanRover/E PLUS 3.0 remote access server won one of Network Computing's Well-Connected Awards as the best remote access hardware product. Announced at the Networld Interop trade show in Las Vegas this week, the awards were presented in 40 categories. The winners were selected from over 115 finalists by Network Computing's technology and contributing editors who had performed extensive testing on all of the products. All winners are featured in Network Computing's special supplement this March.
In selecting Shiva's LanRover/PLUS for this award, Network Computing said, "Shiva's LanRover/E PLUS, has a winning combination of speed, Windows-based management, and varied, but solid, client support. It's throughput was not only fast, it was also consistent." "We're honored to receive this award and are always improving our products so they stand out amongst the competition," said Woody Benson, vice president of corporate marketing and North American sales at Shiva. "The great news for our customers is that we've just recently upgraded the software for our LanRover product line to release 3.5 so they can receive even more functionality than was available at the time of Network Computing's testing."
Shiva's LanRover/PLUS is a remote access server that links remote users and workers in branch offices to corporate local area networks.
