TIVOLI SYSTEMS ADDS TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM TO SUPPORT GROWTH; Glyn Meek announced as vice president, professional services, and David Bouchard as vice president, leveraged sales
Business Wire, August 1, 1995
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 1995--Tivoli Systems Inc., a leading supplier of distributed client/server systems management software, today announced the appointment of two new members to the senior management team.
Glyn Meek has been appointed vice president, professional services. Meek, a 25-year veteran of the software industry, is responsible for the growing organization which provides assistance to customers implementing Tivoli's industry-leading distributed client/server systems management solution, the Tivoli Management Environment(TME). Meek's responsibilities include managing both the company's internal consulting resources, Tivoli Professional Services, and building a cadre of third-party consulting firms that are certified to perform consulting arrangements for clients.
"Our customers buy TME to solve the difficult problems involved in managing large enterprise-wide client/server applications," said Meek. "With Tivoli Professional Services and our third-party consulting partners, we can help our customers solve these problems and obtain the business benefit from their client/server applications more quickly."
Tivoli President and CEO Frank Moss noted, "Glyn and his organization will significantly leverage our customers' ability to gain value from the TME by assisting in their rapid and successful deployment with both Tivoli and third-party consulting resources."
Prior to joining Tivoli, Meek held senior consulting management positions with Andersen Consulting and ICL, and the vice president of information systems position at Dell Computer. Meek holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Hull in England, as well as multiple masters' degrees in computer science from Imperial College in London.
David Bouchard has been named vice president, leveraged sales, a new position at Tivoli. Bouchard, also an industry veteran, is responsible for building another area within Tivoli that will help contribute to the company's ability to grow its business. He is developing an indirect sales channel specifically focused on assisting partners in the development and marketing of specific solutions based on TME.
"One of the powerful aspects of TME is its ability to be adapted to address very complex systems management problems," said Bouchard. "My opportunity is to assist partners as they couple TME with their own particular added value and come to market with a complete TME-based custom solution."
Frank Moss commented, "Dave will allow us to leverage our partners more effectively to bring TME to a wider audience by marketing TME as part of their specific solution offering."
Bouchard's experience includes sales, operations and executive management positions implementing sales and channel distribution strategies at several large companies and a small startup software company. Most recently, he served as manager of alternate channels at Powersoft Corporation, where in just over two years, indirect channels represented over 60% of Powersoft's product revenue. Bouchard holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
