The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company Inc. announces management changes

MONTVALE, NJ--Aug. 18, 1995--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. today announced management changes in three operating groups:
Mr. David Aston, president of Waldbaum's, Central Islip, NY, has become president of Super Fresh, PA in Florence, NJ, reporting to Mr. Michael Bozza, who will now resume overall responsibility for Super Fresh, PA, Mid Atlantic and South Central.
Mr. David Smithies, president, New England Group, located in Springfield, MA, has become president of Waldbaum's, replacing Mr. Aston.
Mr. David Hoalt, vice president - store operations, New England, becomes president of the New England Group, replacing Mr. Smithies. Mr. Christian Haub, president and chief operating officer of A&P said the changes were intended to strengthen overall operations, but particularly, in the three groups directly affected.
