New CEO takes the helm of Fischer International Systems Corp.; propelling firm to "E-Comm leadership" is new CEO's aim

NAPLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 1995--Fischer International Systems Corp. (FISC) Friday announced the appointment of Michael S. Battaglia to the position of president and chief executive officer.
Addison M. Fischer, the company's founder, continues in his role as chairman.
Battaglia oversees the worldwide operation of FISC as well as of its subsidiaries, Fischer EDI Inc., Fischer UK, and SmartDisk Security Corp. He is responsible for setting the company's strategic direction, charting paths for aggressive product growth, and leading the company in its development of secure Electronic Commerce products.

Before joining FISC, Battaglia was president and CEO of Mosler Inc. of Hamilton, Ohio, a manufacturer and service supplier of security products and electronic security systems. While there, he led the company to a leadership position with new products and in new commercial and industrial markets. Prior to his position at Mosler, Battaglia served as senior vice president of Corporate Development and Marketing at JWP Information Systems, a microcomputer network systems and services business. He has also served in various senior management positions at Sperry Corp.
