--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 8, 1995--The following provides additional information to a news release issued August 8, 1995 by Wendy's International, concerning their agreement in principal to merge with the Canadian Restaurant Chain Tim Hortons.

Same store sales have grown 7% so far in 1995

Since the beginning of 1994, revenue and earnings have grown at annual rates exceeding 25%

Primarily a franchised entity, the number of company-owned and operated units ranged between 16-30 in 1994
